(More customer reviews)We took two of these pack towels to a multi-day campout music festival, as we wanted something lightweight and fast-drying that we could hang up in our tent after showering.They're soft and super absorbent, and the slate gray color is advantageous because it hides dirt somewhat, and you can quickly tell which areas might still be wet, as they'll be darker.
The towels have a sturdy, neon green loop at one corner for hanging to dry.They come in a zippered mesh bag which also has a loop on one end, so if you're short on space but still need to dry your towel, you can fold it into the bag and hang it up to dry that way.When folded inside the mesh bag, each towel is about the size of an issue of National Geographic.At about 2' x 3' unfolded, I was surprised at how large the towels are.If you're "roughing it," that's plenty of material to dry yourself off with.One thing to note is that the fabric is similar to a chamois in that it works better if you use a "dab" technique.
The towels' best feature, besides being lightweight and taking up almost no room in your bag, is their quick drying time.Even when fully saturated, they take about 1-2 hours to dry (less if you're in a sunny/hot/windy environment).They do great in the washing machine when you come back home, too.
