(More customer reviews)When hurricane Ike hit Houston, we were without power for 3 nights.We used candles which I regard as a safety hazard and burn too quickly.I have now bought a half dozen of these led lanterns with can run off four D cells for up to 40 hours (so they say).And they are small enough to be easily carried around the house.We have used the lanterns several times now during short (30 minutes to 4 hours) outages and are very pleased with them.Our neighbor even borrowed one during the last outage.
