even though this says its for big and tall people, the scoop top makes it seem as short as a normal one. im 5'10 and thin and can't really imagine fitting in something much shorter than this.that being said, it fits me perfectly.if youre taller, i'd test it first though.
secondly, its next to impossible to get back into the carrying bag.ive rolled quite a few sleeping bags and as tight as i can get this one, it still takes a good amount of sweat and frustration to get in the bag.
lastly, 30 degrees seems like a little bit of a stretch unless you don't mind shivering all night. i would say 35-40 degrees is probably about as low as you would want to use this without supplementing some blankets.
overall the construction is solid, and has a nice feel.despite the aforementioned points, for 35 dollars, its a good sleeping bag.
