(More customer reviews)I am not strong enough to carry full five-gallon bottles of water more than a few steps, so when I refill my water bottles, I use these to hold a bottle on my hand truck so I can wheel it inside from the car. One bungee goes around the bottle and hooks to the hand truck on each side if I put it through the handle cutout. (If the bottle did not have a handle, and I had to put the cord completely around it, I would want a longer cord.)The previous reviewer is correct that the bungee is not super stretchy, but it is strong and holds tight and that is exactly what I wanted to prevent the heavy bottle from shifting around on its platform.
The hooks are covered with ABS plastic, not made completely out of it.Basically they are made out of hard molded plastic with a hard metal reinforcement wire going through the middle.They hold fast without bending and do no damage to the finish of my hand truck. The hook openings are just wide enough, without being so wide that they seem to be in danger of coming off.
I'm pleased with the quality and appearance of the product and I got it at a good price.
